 Three day trip

Depart by Train on Wednesday Morning for your journey to Almaden. Chillagoe Cabins greet you at Almaden railway station for your transfer to Chillagoe. By 2.30pm we arrive at Chillagoe Cabins for a short break before your National Parks tour of the Cathedral Cave at 3.30. This is followed by a historical town tour arriving back at Chillagoe Cabins by 5.30pm. A swimming pool is available and guests are welcome to join their hosts for pre-dinner drinks from 6pm. Dinner is traditionally Australian and served at about 7pm.

On Thursday, after your 7.30 breakfast, you tour both the Donna and Trezkin caves. Lunch is at a historic North Queensland Outback Pub. That afternoon we travel 15km west to the abandoned township of Mungana where we inspect fossils, caves and aboriginal sites. At 7pm you are treated to a barbecue dinner.

On Friday Morning, you are transferred back to Cairns by Coach
