Gulflander / Savannahlander packages can also be arranged.

The are two basic levels of Combined Gulflander / Savannahlander packages available. These are the 'first class' and 'economy' packages from which other sub options are available. Common to both packages is the need for you make your own way out to Normanton and start your journey from there. This can be done by taking a Macair flight from Cairns to Normanton on Tuesday, then beginning your train journey on the Gulflander on the following day. We look after all your arrangements from when you arrive at Normanton.

A bus option is available to Normanton, but you will need another nights accommodation out there, after an 11 hour journey on a small bus.

Economy Package:

Budget cabin at the Normanton Tourist Park ; Shared facility room at the Croydon Club Hotel, a hotel room at the Goldfields Tavern in Forsayth, and a Budget Room at the Bedrock Village Van Park in Mt Surprise. Includes travel on both Gulflander and Savannahlander, bus transfers from Croydon to Georgetown and Georgetown to Forsayth. Meals are not included in this package nor is the air fare to Normanton. 1st Class Package

Ensuite room at the Normanton Tourist Park in Normanton, Self Contained room at the Croydon club hotel, ensuite cabin at the Forsayth Tourist Park and a Motel room at the Mt Surprise Tourist Park. Dinner and Breakfast are included at Forsayth and Mt Surprise. Also includes travel on both Gulflander and Savannahlander trains, bus transfers from Croydon to Georgetown and Georgetown to Forsayth. Below are some options that can be added to this package:

Macair offer web booked flights from Cairns to Normanton from around $175.00, (depending on seasonal influences such as school holidays etc) but you will need to spend a night in Normanton prior to the train departure.
