2018 Availabilities
The Savannahlander is an rail experience that takes in many parts of the Australian outback and takes in many of the towns, people and businesses along the way. Due to this nature there are some occasions where the train may be running but there is no accommodation left in these towns – which means that you may not be able to travel some dates despite the train running weekly.
The tables below show current availability for the tours:
- Savannah Explorer
- Rail Runner
- Gulflander and Savannahlander via Forsayth
- Gulflander and Savannahlander via Croydon
- Undara Lava Lodge upgrade availability
- Other short tours
Below is a list of available dates that will be updated as the year progresses – PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS TABLE DOES NOT GUARANTEE A SPECIFIC TOUR IS AVAILABLE. We can only email you a confirmation on a tour after a completed booking has been made.
What happens if my desired dates are not available? – we hope that you can find a suitable date to travel with us, but if not then you have some alternative options. Firstly -you can sign up to our our 2018 Standby list who will be notified by email if new dates become available or if there are availabilities due to cancellations. Secondly you are also welcome to sign up to our 2019 Advance bookings list who will have 2 weeks head start when bookings open for 2019.

The dates below are available at the great price of $150 and include transfers and tours of the Undara Lava Tubes. Please note that we will accommodate you preferentially in the refurbished Railway Carriages and then in the quality Pioneer Huts.
